KEY's Picnic on Sunday 12th June 2011

Key’s Picnic was held on June 12^th 2011 to Radiant Resort on Bannerghatta Road. Around 30 members from Key were present for picnic. As scheduled we left from Konkan Bhavan at 9.00 A.M in a mini Bus and reached Radiant Resort at around 10A.M. Lunch and snacks were arranged in the resort itself, thanks to Lionel for organizing. Varieties of games were organized by Bridget (Cultural Secretary) like musical chair, wearing saree for boys etc. All this added to the element of fun. After having a fabulous time we left the resort at around 6.00 P.M. It was because of the co-ordinated effort of Jeevan (Secretary), Denzil (President) in making the preparations for the trip and executing it lead to a fun extravaganza. Last and not least would love to thank all the Key members in helping have a good time despite of other commitments for being present on this day and making it a memorable one.

KEY's 2nd AGM 2010-2011 and Core Committee election held on 27th of Mar 2011

KEY’s 2nd AGM 2010-2011, started with Prayer by Rowina Cutinha at 11:00AM. The meeting began on a welcome note by KEY’s President Denzil D’Souza. Former secretary Ashwin D’souza read the minutes of the previous general body meeting. Current secretary Sanjeena Menezes read the Annual Report for the year 2010-2011 and same has been passed by Mithun seconded by Regan and Kiran. Followed by Treasurer’s report was read by Melwin Pinto for the year 2010-2011 and same has been passed by Lionel seconded by Ashwin and Mithun.

President Denzil D’Souza welcomed all new members and all the new members were introduced to the forum. Old Core committee was dismissed and session was opened for suggestions from the members. Former president Lionel D’souza provided brief introduction on KEY’s vision and history. KCA Youth Convener Mr. Gerald D'Souza addressed the forum and provided some suggestions to KEY

·             KEY members are having other associations contacts, utilising that we need to drive KEY’s membership

·             KEY in progress is commendable but it’s just a start, by conducting valuable events it will grow.

 KEY and KCA core committee felicitated and memento was presented by Mr. Frank D’Souza to Nyzil Loy Alvares as “Best KEY Member for the year 2010-2011”.

Newly elected committee members took in-charge and re-elected President Denzil D`souza addressed the forum and sheared his plans

Mr. Frank D’Souza congratulated newly elected committee and addressed the forum. Provided some valuable suggestions to KEY

·         Take initiatives to conduct retreat’s, spiritual programs and other events.

·         Conduct some events in each Monthly Meetings.

·         Organise career guidance program to 9th and 12th Standard students and try to identify their interests and talents

Former Secretary Sanjeena Menezes handed over the role to newly elected Secretary Jeevan Roy Crasta and Former Treasurer Melwin Pinto handed over the role to newly elected Treasurer Loyed Kiran Fernandes

KEY visited orphanage of disabled women and children, Sisters of Charity (Mother Theresa) on 13th of Mar 2011

KEY Joined with KCA for charity visit on 13th of March 2011, to the orphanage of disabled women and children at MS Palya, which is run by the Sisters of Charity (Mother Theresa). Amount collected by “Carol for Charity” Rs. 11,675/- was donated to construct a shelter structure on their premises 

PRO-LIFE awareness program for Youth (Emphasize on the importance of life) on 16th of January 2011
